"Where The Wild Things Are" Movie

Maybe I’m just sentimental about reading this with my kiddos, but I just think that some childrens books are best left undisturbed. The magic of this book, or any book, is that so much is left to the imagination.

Max was being crazy so he was sent to his room. That’s it. You get to imagine what kind of boy he really is, and fill in the blanks on your own. Now we’ll get all of the blanks filled in for us by a director. Kinda takes the mystery and magic out of the book. Sad.

Next we’ll get a full-length feature of Goodnight Moon. “Action! Drama! and a bowl full of mush.”

Back In Tulsa

We are back in Tulsa. There are some lose ends to tie up in Bedford, but we are here. It’s strange to be back, but it’s good. I have a new appreciation for this little house. It took some abuse from our renters, but it’s on the mend, slowly but surely. What a strange detour that we took only to end up here. It’s not the same place that we left a year ago… well… maybe the place is the same, but we’ve changed. I think we’ve changed for the better. I’m excited to see where we go from here.
